Privacy Policy
Last updated: October 2, 2026
This policy explains what information Answered collects, why, and what we do with it. We've tried to write it in plain English. If anything is unclear, email hello@answeredreviews.com.
The short version: we use your information to answer your reviews and run your account. We don't sell it. We don't use your Google data to train AI models. You can ask us to delete it any time.
1. Who we are
"Answered," "we," "us" and "our" mean the business that operates answeredreviews.com. Operator details: to be added before launch. Contact: hello@answeredreviews.com.
Our customers are businesses ("you"). The service is for business use, not for children, and we don't knowingly collect information from anyone under 16.
2. Information we collect
Information you give us
- Account details: your business name, your name if you provide it, your email address, and your website address.
- Your rules: the voice, offers, per-star settings, signature, and word lists you set in the portal.
- Messages: anything you send us by email or through our contact form.
Information from Google, when you connect your Google Business Profile
See section 3 for full details on Google user data.
Information from your public website
If you give us your website address, we read the public pages to learn details like your hours, what you're known for, and how you describe yourself, so replies get the details right.
Payment information
Payments are handled by our payment processor. We never see or store your full card number. We receive limited details such as your billing email, the last four digits of your card, and payment status.
Information collected automatically
Like most websites, our servers record basic technical information such as IP address, browser type, and pages visited, for security and to keep the service running. We don't use advertising trackers.
3. Google user data
When you click "Connect with Google," Google asks you to grant Answered access to your Google Business Profile using the business.manage permission. We never ask for or receive your Google password.
What we access
- The list of business locations on your Google Business Profile account, so you can choose which one we manage.
- Basic profile information for those locations (such as business name, address and hours).
- Reviews left on those locations, including the reviewer's display name, star rating, review text and date, as shown publicly on Google.
- The ability to post, update and delete your business's replies to those reviews.
- The email address of the Google account you connect, so we know which account granted access.
What we do with it
- Read new reviews so we can write a reply that follows your rules.
- Post replies on your behalf, or hold them for your approval when your rules say so.
- Show you your reviews and our replies in your portal, and send you emails about replies waiting for your OK.
- Create your monthly report (for example, how many reviews came in and your average rating).
We do not use Google user data for advertising, we do not sell it, and we do not use it to train or improve general-purpose AI or machine-learning models, ours or anyone else's.
Limited Use
Answered's use and transfer to any other app of information received from Google APIs will adhere to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.
Who else sees it
We share Google user data only with service providers who help us deliver the service, only as needed to do that, and under contracts that limit their use of it:
- Hosting and database providers, where the service runs and your data is stored.
- An AI language-model provider, which receives the text of a review, your rules, and your business details so it can help draft a reply. We use providers whose terms do not allow them to train their models on the data we send.
- Our email delivery provider, to send you drafts and reports.
Humans at Answered only look at your reviews and replies when you ask us for help, to investigate a problem or abuse, for security, or when the law requires it.
How long we keep it
- While your account is active, we keep your reviews and our replies so you can see your history in the portal.
- When you disconnect Google or cancel, we stop accessing your Google data right away and delete the access tokens.
- We delete the Google review data we stored within 30 days after you cancel or disconnect, unless you ask us to delete it sooner.
- Backups roll off on a schedule and are fully cleared within a further 30 days.
How to revoke access
You can remove Answered's access any time, in either place:
- In your portal: Settings → Connected accounts → Disconnect.
- In your Google account: go to myaccount.google.com/permissions (Security, then "Third-party apps & services"), choose Answered, and remove access.
Replies we've already posted stay on Google until you delete them there.
4. Yelp
Yelp does not let outside services post replies for a business, so we don't connect to your Yelp account. If you turn on Yelp drafts, we write a reply to Yelp reviews you choose to send us, or that are publicly visible, and email it to you to paste in yourself.
5. How we use information overall
- To provide the service: write and post replies, run your portal, send drafts and reports.
- To bill you and manage your plan.
- To answer your emails.
- To keep the service secure and working, and to prevent abuse.
- To meet legal obligations.
We send you service emails (drafts, reports, billing). If we ever send product news, every one will have an unsubscribe link.
6. We don't sell your information
We do not sell or rent personal information, and we don't share it for targeted advertising. We may disclose information if required by law, to protect our rights or someone's safety, or as part of a sale or merger of our business, in which case this policy continues to apply to it.
7. Security
We use encryption in transit (HTTPS), encrypt Google access tokens at rest, limit who on our side can access customer data, and keep only what we need. No system is perfectly secure; if we learn of a breach affecting your data, we'll tell you promptly.
8. Your choices and rights
- See or correct your information in the portal, or by emailing us.
- Delete your account and data: email hello@answeredreviews.com from your account email. We'll confirm and complete deletion within 30 days.
- Export your reviews and replies: email us and we'll send a copy.
Depending on where you live, you may have additional rights under local law. We'll honor them. Email us to make a request.
9. Reviewers' information
Reviews are public posts by your customers. We process reviewer names and review text only to reply to them on your behalf. If you are a reviewer and have a question about how your review was handled, email us and we'll help.
10. Changes to this policy
If we make a meaningful change, we'll email account holders and update the date at the top before it takes effect.
11. Contact
