How it works

Set it up once. We handle the rest.

Here's exactly what happens, what we do, and what we won't do. No surprises.

Tell us about your business, then connect Google

Your business name, website, city and email. We read your public website so replies get your details right. Then press "Connect with Google." Google shows its own screen asking whether Answered may manage your reviews. You say yes. About a minute.

  • We never see, ask for or store your Google password.
  • The permission covers your business profile's reviews and replies. Not your email, not your files.
  • You can take the permission back any time in your Google account.
  • No password for Answered either. To sign in, we email you a link.

What you'll see

A Google sign-in window, your Google account, and a list of what Answered is asking to do. If anything there looks off to you, close the window. Nothing happens until you approve it.

Where things stand today: posting replies on Google needs Google to approve our access, which we expect in mid-October 2026. Until then, we load your recent reviews and have every reply drafted in your portal within one business day of signing up. Posting starts as soon as access opens.

Set your rules

Your rules are how we know what you'd say if you had time to answer every review yourself. They take about five minutes, and you can change them whenever you like.

  • In your own words. Type a sentence like "be friendly, never offer anything free." We turn it into rules and show you what we understood before saving.
  • Your voice. Warm and personal, professional, short and sweet, or playful. Plus words you always or never use.
  • What you'll offer. Nothing free (the default), a discount, or a free item. Your call.
  • Contact details. By default, replies never ask people to call, email or "reach out." You can allow your own contact line on 1 and 2-star replies.
  • Post or ask first. For each star rating, we post on our own or wait for your OK.
  • How replies are signed. Your business name. Never a person's name.

Out of the box

Autopilot: we answer every star rating for you. Only sensitive reviews wait.

We answer every review

We check for new reviews around the clock. When one shows up, we read it and write a reply to what that person actually said. Then we follow your rules: post it, or hold it for you.

  • We aim to answer within a day of a review appearing.
  • When something is waiting for you, we send one email. Approve, edit or skip it from your phone.
  • Every reply goes through a final check: nothing free unless you allow it, and no contact invitations unless you allow them.
  • Your portal shows every review and every reply, posted or waiting.

"Best biscuits and gravy in town. Our server Dana was great with the kids."

Response from the owner

That made our day. We'll pass this along to Dana, she'll be thrilled. Glad the biscuits and gravy hit the spot. Come back hungry!

The touchy ones

When a review needs you, not us.

Some reviews should never get an automatic reply. We know which ones, and they always wait for you, whatever your other rules say.

  • Lawyers or legal threats
  • Police or crime
  • Getting sick or hurt
  • Food or safety problems
  • Discrimination
  • Threats
  • A staff member's conduct
  • Someone's personal details

What happens then

  1. 1. We don't post anything.
  2. 2. We write a calm, careful draft. No offers, and no details repeated back.
  3. 3. We email you, with a short note on why it was held.
  4. 4. You approve it, change it or skip it.

You can add your own words to the hold list, say a competitor's name or a former employee, from your Rules page.

Straight answers

What we can do, and what we can't.

Google reviews

Once Google approves our access and you connect, we post replies straight to your Google Business Profile, by your rules. Nothing for you to do.

  • Read new reviews as they arrive
  • Post replies on your behalf
  • Hold anything touchy, or anything you've asked to approve

Yelp reviews

Yelp doesn't let outside services post replies for a business, so we don't pretend to. Here's what we do instead:

  • We write the reply, by your same rules
  • You get it with a one-tap "Copy reply" button
  • Paste it into Yelp for Business. About ten seconds.

Things we won't do

  • Ask for your password, ever.
  • Offer free food, refunds or discounts unless your rules allow it.
  • Sign replies with a made-up person's name.
  • Argue with a reviewer, or post anything about a legal, health or safety claim without your OK.
  • Write reviews, ask only happy customers for reviews, or pressure anyone to change theirs. Google doesn't allow any of that, and neither do we.

Ready when you are.

Sign up, connect Google, set your rules. About ten minutes, start to finish.

From $79 a month. Cancel any time; it just won't renew.
